In brief

The primary school was founded in 1892 as part of the West Bromwich School Board Beeches Road Schools. The architect was Alfred Long. It is now opposite The Expressway and Dartmouth Park. A Grade II listed building since 1987.

The school was opened in 1892, and was by the architect Alfred Long, the builder was J Mallin.

It was built for the West Bromwich School Board as the Beeches Road Schools.

It was later renamed to King George V Primary School at a later date, is now one of the schools run by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.

Parking outside the school is not encouraged during the morning and afternoon school runs. As well as smoking.

One of the buildings main features is it's distinctive clock tower.

It is sandwiched between the caretakers house on the left, and the rest of the school on the right.

All four sides of the clock tower have classical clock faces.
