Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick - Details

The Sikh temple opened in 1962.

It was a conversion of the Congregational chapel of 1855.

Rebuilt in stages by G.H.W. Ensor, meeting halls of 1986, dining halls of 1994.

The temple itself was built in 1996-7.

Materials used include grey marble, with yellow detail and a pink base.

Has an onion shaped dome.

A local landmark.
